-= Engineering =- After a good night's sleep thanks to the medication the nurse had given to him, the first thing that attacked him on his shift was the gamma shift duty officer. They had just been alerted by the computer of a fluctuation in the warpcore matrix. Gaalen reassured the man, saying he was taking care of it. He'd read the report hastily and noticed that sensors could not precisely detect the fault piece of equipment he decided that first thing was to shut down the warpcore, allowing his team to investigate the problem further. Secondly he called for a meeting with Xenai and Hawk Versey. He wanted her to check the matter distribution manifolds and flow controlers with EPS distribution checks and energy waste disposal with a team and Versey was to do the same with the anti-matter system. Himself he knew what he would do, he just needed to get his staff organized. Once they where on their duties, Gaalen called up the bridge duty officer and left a message for the ACO to be notified of the problem. He turned and saw the engineers in his department buy at work, almost working at an urgent pace. He grabbed a tricorder and opened the dilithium crystal chamber to verify the alignment of the crystals. In a matter of minutes, he knew he was looking the wrong way, there was nothing wrong. What if his staff did not find anything out of place? What if it was sabotage? He knew it could not happen like that, when the previous day everything was running within acceptable parameters. He rubbed his chin, thinking of the possibilities. If it was, then the culprit was someone from the inside, on such a small ship, an unknown individual did not go unoticed for long. Was someone trying to delay their departure from Tetris II? He chose to sit it out, try and find the source of the problem and wait for his staff to report back to him on their findings, if any.
