=/\= Bridge, USS Chimera =/\= With the plans made with Tom Klinde, the battle practice could take place. Acheson took a deep breath, acknowledging that this was the pivotal step in deciding whether the mission would proceed. +TAPS+ Lieutenant Acheson to Colonel Bretam, sir do you remember that I asked to take the Chimera out for phaser calibrations? Keylor was walking about the station when the call came in from 1lt Acheson. he heard the muffled request from his communicator in his pocket. he pulled it out and thought about the former request about calibrations. After a moment of thought he tapped the communicator with his thumb. +Taps+ Yes leiutenant? Is there a problem? +TAPS+ Sir, I was reunited with an Academy friend, a Lieutenant Klinde, is also Chief Tactical on another ship, the USS Simpson. Sir, may I have permission to engage in simulated battle-type maneuvers with the USS Simpson? Captain Walsh and the ODA teams can also practice boarding party repulsion and boarding tactics during the course of the simulated fighting. KEylor remained silent for a few seconds, letting Acheson hang on his last word. {Well they could use some training, and after all Acheson will have to start standing watch on the bridge. I guessit would be a way to keep those who have to be on duty busy.} he thought. KEylor pressed the comm badge again and then replied after a slight pause. +taps+ Well..... I guess thatit would e ok. you will have to make the necessary modifications so accidents dont happen. "+TAPS+ Uh, Yes, sir. I set the phasers to below the energy required to disrupt the shield graviton emitters, so any hits, at the worst case scenario, won't even raise the temperature of the ship's hull, much less damage anything. The computer has been set to amplify any hits in the simulation. I was thinking about using torpedo casings but I decided to go with a simulated torpedo. The torpedo will be recorded as being fired and the computer will use a probability matrix to determine whether it hits and a similar matrix to decide the simulated damage inflicted. +Taps+ And lieutenant? One mark on that ship and you will be scrubbing warp coild for a month. Acheson chuckled. +TAPS+ "Don't worry, sir. I'll bring her back with a fresh coat of paint to cover any damage I do. Acheson out" =/\= END LOG =/\= JL of: Col Keylor CO USS Chimera & 1Lt Acheson CTACO USS Chimera -- ___________________________________________________________ Sign-up for Ads Free at Mail.com http://promo.mail.com/adsfreejump.htm
