== /\ Holodeck /\ ==== Jack patted his face slightly as the sweat ran down his face. He'd been zapped to the time out box once already and he wasn't about to go there for a second time. For the most part he was pretty sure that the red team was holding strong, their leap frog positioning had worked until they passed the Blue team, now they were just covering their six as they moved on towards the red teams flag, which was covered by their snipers and a small team which was no doubt covering the flag. Pushing forward he was pretty sure that he'd passed Achesons team and began a fast but steady pace on towards the end. Coming out of the clearing he stood still for a moment, looking around...something didn't look right. Just then he stepped right ever so slightly and a phaser blast zapped one of the officers who had followed him out of the brush. Instinctively he lunged to the floor and took cover. "SNIPER!" he called aloud to let his team know, his position was already exposed but hopefully the others on his team would take the obvious hint and keep their heads down. "Can you make him?" he called aloud. "Almost, he's a tricky son of a bitch" came the reply from the brush. Two more shots zinged past Jacks head, not to his liking if he was honest. He was pinned down with nothing he could do until his team sorted things, out, but that was the whole point of things wasn't it, to rely on others and all that crap. "MAKE THE SHOT Lieutenant!!" Jack bellowed, growing tired of having a quiet moment alone in his mind. That very second the Lieutenant fired off his shot, hitting the guy obviously as the faint sound of the transporter could be heard in the background. "Move out kids, we haven't got long until, well...you'll see" he smirked and flung himself out of the foxhole he'd got himself into. "Sir, my tricorder detects that the flag should be located 10 meters in that direction." Ensign Pennings notified him. "Ok then troop, the home straight, secure the area and capture the flag!" he let Pennings take point as he took up the rear making sure that there wasn't anyone else lurking about to take a pot shot at him. As they pushed further ahead into the surroundings the flag became prominent in their vision. They'd taken out the sniper and pushed past the opposing forces, it was pretty much clean, there didn't appear to be any life signs around. Pennings was the most inquisitive and placed his hand about 3 inches from the flag itself when the holodeck fizzled out to the generic surrounds and behind him Jack could hear the other participants looking slightly confused, presumably as they'd been involved in fire fight when the game ended. "what the?? we didn't win yet..." Pennings muttered. "Hold the verbal Ensign, its not wanted." Jack barked. "Attention!" Jack hollered and watched as everyone filed in. "My My My" he smirked again. "That was bloody interesting. Your assessments will be on your supervisors desks by tomorrow morning. Fortunately those of you who found that trying wont have the chance to put those skills into practice. I say fortunetately for me, as I'd shoot some of you for your actions in the field." he glanced at a couple of blue collared participants. "Good Show Captain" He nodded to Acheson who was standing to the side of those he was addressing. "Dismissed!" he nodded again to the Chief Tactical Officer as he thrust his rifle into the arms of his Weapons Spec. and headed out of the holodeck and back to his office. He'd been back at his desk for a few mins when he heard other members of the ODA coming in to their stations, all sounding a little worn but on the whole the ODA reacted differently to these types of activities, they basically enjoyed it. Looking at the mess on his desk he caught sight of a transfer order that Ops had sent down. PO1 Garry Williams, ODA Operations Spec. Which was actually a bloody godsent. "A Paper pusher, Quality." ==== MCaptain Jack Walsh ODA Commander USS Chimera
