=== Gary's Quarters=== Gary stood at the door to his small and modest abode. He looked around and smiled at himself. TO the untrained eye, no one would have noticed that any one had moved in. With the exception to two pads sitting out of view on the desk, and a holo-picture frame sitting on the little shelf next to the sing bed, nothing else of the contents of his duffel could be found. Gary was fond of decorations or adorning his quarters with coverings, flashy objects and the like. He was used to the rustic trappings he grew up with. Everything on a starship, or starbase was cold, metallic and automated. Though the years in Starfleet had de-sensitized him to technology, there was some thing to be said for relaxing in something hand crafted and worn. He had tried to replicate furniture; things that resembled what his father used to make, but it was not the same. Please with his organization skills and everything was in its place. He turned and headed out the door. Turning to the right his first stop was the sick bay to schedule his ship based physical. It did nto take him long to arrive at his destination, his quarters were on the same deck at the sick bay and only 52.3 meters down the corridor. Walking briskly and addressing every officer that passed by him he soon found himself inside of the sickbay doors and looking about. There was a bit of activity in the sickbay. Gary watched for a minute as one bio bed was occupied. Standing there was; whom Gary presumed, a doctor and a nurse running scans on a crewman on the bed. Looking the opposite direction he could see past an open door to what appeared to be a store room. There were two females moving about in the room. The first was a young female, about 5 feet something, dark hair and wearing a Lieutenant junior grade rank. The other was a crewman, a bit taller. He watched as the lieutenant junior grade moved what appeared to be medical supplies from a storage container to shelves. The taller one was writing on a pad, presumably taking down inventory for the officer. Not sure of whom he should interrupt, he cleared his throat and waited for some one to notice him and ask him what he was doing there. Glancing about once again, he noticed the taller female form the supply room walk towards him. "Can I help you?" she said. Gary smiled, as she approached. "Yes, I need to schedule a physical." He said with a smile on his face. The female looked at Gary with a bit of concern, "Are you ill?" she said wondering if the aparent healthy man might be some sort of hypochondriac. Gary shook his head slightly and chuckled. "No,no. I am new to the ship, the operations officer told me to schedule a physical as soon as possible." Lucy then put a small smile on her face, "AH I see. Welcome aboard.." She let her words trail off waiting for Gary to fill in his name. With a waiting look on her face, Gary quickly realized what was happening and filled in the blank. "Petty officer first class Gary Williams." He smiled. Lucy smiled back, "Well Petty officer, I am sure I could arrange a physical for you." Lucy looked back at MaiKai in the store room. "We could probably fit you in right now if you like." She said looking back at Gary. Gary leaned to one side and looked over Lucy's shoulder at the young medical officer in the store room, he then leaned back and looked at Lucy. "Not right now." He said politely." Ther are several things I would like to do today, first day on the ship and all. But what about a few days form now?" he asked. Lucy looked back at Maikai and then back at Gary. She was curious why the petty officer looked at Mai and then refused the physical. Trying best to not let her curiosity to show she looked down at the pad in her hands and tapped on it a couple of times. After looking at the schedule in a few days she looked back up at Gary, "how is 14:00 hours three days form now?" Gary smiled, "That would be fine." He replied. Lucy looked back at the pad and entered the information. She then looked back at Gary, "Ok Petty officer, you are scheduled. Please be here on time." Gary nodded. "Yes I will." He said and then looked curious. "I did not catch your name." He asked. "Lucy smiled back, "Crewman Lucy Flemming, I am one of the nurses here ." she smiled back. Gary leaned in, "Tell me Crewman Lucy Flemming, doe sthe CMO really come find you if you do not come in for a physical?" Lucy looked a bit puzzled and then smiled, "Well.. She has been known to drag the ships captain and executive officer down her when they don't listen to doctor's orders. And I know that on several accounts she has treated crewmen in their quarters. But I can't remember her actually going out and hunting a crewman down because they missed a physical." She paused and then looked serious for a second, "But I would not test her, she is extremely serious about her responsibilities." She said then cracking a grin. Gary nodded and smiled back, "Right, well safe to say don't test the CMO's patients about her patients." He said coyly trying to make a pun. Lucy simply grinned, trying not to roll her eyes at the clich=E9 statement. She then looked back to Maikai and then to Gary, "Well Petty officer if you will excuse me I have duties I must attend to." "Oh of course." He said. "See you around Crewman Flemming." He added as he took a step back. Lucy simple grinned at Gary and watched as he turned and walked out of the sickbay. Out in the corridor, Gary thought to himself. {Well so far so good. Operations officer, Sick bay, everyone doing their job, keeping organized. This is turning out to be a squared away ship so far.} He though as he headed to a turbo lift. {Now on to the armory to check out the oda's equipment. That should give me an idea of who good they are.} === End Log=== PO1 Gary Williams ODA Operations Specialist
