Greetings,
This is an announcement to all of the Omega Fleet Sims, with a specific
purpose of course. Things have been quiet at the SubFleet Level lately.
I've been busy as ever with work, and haven't been too vocal as of
late. But, I've still been watching things and doing my best to keep an
eye out.
Now that some things have been accomplished for a specific sim, I'd
like to take the moment to talk about and recognize members of Omega
Fleet.
First, I'll start with the sims:
SSF Dark Horizon: I'm afraid I haven't done all that I can for you. I
feel I've let the sim down as SubFleet Commander. I know Mac has been
having a busy time in RL, and I haven't been around much for you guys.
It has nothing to do with the crew, or the current status of the sim.
Zan had been keeping an eye on the sim when he was Deputy, and I know
there is still some life there. Two years ago, it was a pleasure to get
the DH approved after all the crap and hurdles it had to jump over to
get there.
I'd like to recognize the efforts of the CO and crew by awarding the DH
the KNIGHT AWARD. It's been a rough ride, but you've managed to stick.
I can't tell you what the future holds for the DH, but I'm sure she'll
get through it with her head held high. Congratulations, and good luck
to whatever the future brings.
USS Chimera: Omega's newest sim. She's been on a tear since joining
Omega and the SSF. Indy, Muma, and Rangi have done a fantastic job
leading this bunch of simmers into fun and exciting plots. It was a
pleasure as SubFleet Commander to see you through trials into a full
SIM within UCIP. For the crew's continued efforts, I hereby award them
the TIMMIS AWARD. This has definately been earned. Congratulations.
USS Saratoga: I'm rather biased here, but it has never stopped me
before in recognizing my crew at the SubFleet Level. Lately, the sim
has been on fire. She's gotten a few new crew members, and some old
ones have come back to life. The sim is in very good shape, and its all
due to the wonderful crew she has. The Saratoga is packed with years of
Simming experience with a touch of new to make it that much better. I
hereby award the crew of the Saratoga the TIMMIS AWARD for their
continued efforts to the sim. Congratulations.
S31 Firehawk: The third sim that I have seen through development and
trials in Omega Fleet. She was an IRC Sim that switched formats to
email, struggled at first, and then took off when a certain rum
drinking space pirate named Sparrow came aboard as CO. She's been on
cloud 9 ever since. I had been waiting for Command to approve the
Firehawk before I wrote this email, and now that she has been approved,
I hereby award the crew with the NOVA CROSS FOR MERIT as a Unit Award.
You've all done one hell of a job. Congratulations, and continued
success.
Now, I'd like to recognize a few individual simmers/members of Omega:
BGen. Zanchin/Capt. David Clifford: You were my right hand for over two
years, at the Sim level as my XO, and the SubFleet level as my deputy.
You supported everything I did, and fought right alongside me when
required. You've resigned as Deputy Omega CO, and you've moved on to CO
the Rodger Young, and I know you'll do an excellent job with her. You
were previously awarded the Starfleet Cross for Merit, so this is just
me saying thanks for your hard work, loyalty, and dedication while in
service to the Saratoga and Omega Fleet. Continued success, my friend.
MGen. Evelyn Harper: You've been a close advisor and friend for a year
and half now, since the days of Epsimega ;) We've kicked ass and taken
names, and also had attempted ass kickings on ourselves a few times,
but we always pulled through. You've been a great sounding board for
me, and a great advocate for Omega and the Special Forces. For your
hard work and dedication, I hereby award you with the Nova Cross for
Merit. Thanks for everything.
SrA. Marcus Sparrow: I asked you to take command of the FH and you gave
me the shifty eyes ,, , and when you did that, I knew I had snagged the
next CO of the Firehawk. You were given free reign, and you took off
like a bat out of hell. The Firehawk is once again a success thanks to
your efforts as Agent in Charge. Your hard work and dedication the past
eight months is next to none. I hereby award you the Omega Fleet
Eisenhower Award and Meritorious Service Medal for outstanding
leadership and service to the FH and Omega. Congratulations, a job well
done.
I'm very proud of what Omega Fleet and the SSF has become. You've all
done a fantastic job, from the Assistant Department Officer right up to
the Commanding Officers. Congratulations, continued success, and happy
simming! :)
