===Cooridore=== Gary stepped off of the turbo lift and headed down the coridore. He was still amazed that his first encounter with the ODA CO., Marine Captain Walsh went as well as it did. Either The Captain was tired and did not want to deal with Gary, or the suggestions Gary had made were already on the Captains mind. Either way, Gary saw it has his duty to get things organized for the captain. Though the captain was the leader of the oda, he could not do it on his own and needed help that is what Gary was for. As he walked down the hall, thoughts of list of things to do ran through his head. He had to organize a detail to work on weapons, on armor and on the platoon gear. Once the immediate need of repairs were completed, Gary could then work out training scenarios. Though the training that the ODA had had previously was good, it was lacking in the more exotic of their possible missions. Also there had been a lot of turnover, at least on the Enlisted men and NCO side of things. Teams had been organized and re-organized and each of the ships three 12 man oda teams had not really had any time to train together and build as a team. But making lists for training and arranging training scenarios did not seem to be enough for Gary. He figured that on top of everything he could arrange one on one training session with oda members. Though Gary was far from an expert in any one discipline, he knew how to put together a good hologram program or two and could pull together different scenarios for the oda members to test their metal. Of course all of this would have to have the captains permission, but with the encounter he had just experienced with the marine captain, he was pretty sure the captain would approve. Gary turned the corner and headed to his quarters when all of a sudden he was hit with a fair skinned dark haired beauty. Quickly he grasped her in his arms preventing his mass and motion form toppling her to the floor, as he barley wavered at the collision. She was petite and slim, and sweaty. But among the clatter that arose, there came a waft of sweet smell as his nose barely cleared the top of her forehead. Thoughts of training and equipment repair quickly moved from his thoughts. Now stable and no one in fear of falling down. Gary craned his neck backward to look at the sweet smelling bird that had flown in to his arms. He glanced down just as she looked up. The sweat glistened off of her pail white skin, a stray piece of hair blocked her vision form one eye. He smiled at her. {Hello My name is Petty Officer Gary Williams} he thought. He was in awe and the little pigeon that he now held in his arms. For the first time in a long time he was speechless, {No that is corny . Hello I am Petty officer Gary Williams. } he though in a mocking voice in his head. {Think of a better line.} He barely had time to decide on his first words when the lady gently pushed her hand against his chest and slowly freed herself from his grasp. "I'm so sorry," she pause d as she took a better look, "... you must be Petty Officer Gary Williams." She didn't wait for a response as she rushed on, "I'm Athena Wellington. I really am very sorry." She took a deep breath and started off in the direction she was heading as she said, "I've really got to be going." Gary stood stunned, turning his head to follow the quickly moving woman, he just wondered who she might have been. {How did she know my name?} He thought. {Some one in operations? I am a petty officer and an unfamiliar face. May be it was just a good guess?} He though. As the woman disappeared form sight , Gary turned and continued on his way. He had not had a chance to familiarize himself with all of the ships officers, or at least the important ones. Not worrying about whom she was, Gary continued to his office to get to work. ===End Log=== PO1 Gary Williams ODA Operations Specialist
