=/\= Briefing Room =/\= Mark drummed his fingers on the black table in the middle of the room, impatiently, as he waited for another Department head to finish reporting. He looked down at his PADDs intermittently, to see if there was any detail he was missing or any data that was incorrect. True to the saying tempus fugit, the department head stopped talking and sat down, having completed his report. Commander Guzman looked over to Acheson: "Captain Acheson, your report for Tactical?" He looked up hesitantly for a second. "Uh ... Yes, sir." Looking back down to cram as much information as possible into his short term memory, he looked back up at the Commander and gave his report. "Tactical is going well. I ran a level 1 diagnostic on the targeting and weapons systems and found no problems. I had to repair a phase relay for one of the phasers, but I don't think the Governor's boy sabotaged it. The units scan revealed fatigue consistent with the amount of time it had been in service." He looked back down, to gather more information. "We have a full load of quantum and photon torpedos, as well as tricobalt warheads, tactical probes, and similar weapontry. I recently did a literature research for the field and I didn't find any developments that could be used on an Intrepid-class ship, though I will keep looking. Overall, sir, Tactical is in optimal condition." He sat down quickly and Commander Guzman gave the floor to someone else to report in. He looked back down at the PADD in front of him and smiled, happy with the content of the presentation he'd given. As he listed to Captain Walsh talk about the ODA, he found his thoughts began to waiver. Why was he just doing literature searches? He wondered if he should start weapons research himself. =/\= END LOG =/\= MCapt Acheson CTAC USS Chimera <<Brief, but don't ya like the cliffhanger? ::pulls out the beakers::>> -- ___________________________________________________________ Sign-up for Ads Free at Mail.com http://promo.mail.com/adsfreejump.htm
