***** Deck 13****** After a long and tedious crawl through what seemed like the whole ship, Michael and a small team had made their way to Deck thirteen. Seeing as the battle was over and no had boarded the Chimera the ODA was left with three main jobs, secure the ship from possible attacks, search and rescue and assisting the Engineering team to restore systems in any way possible. Although the engineering department was more that capable of doing it themselves Michael and a group of engineering specialists had made their way to Deck thirteen to do repair the Lower shield generators. Michael had lead two members the team to primary EPS conduits, which were some distance from the main repair team. During the battle one of the Warbirds torpedoes had shoot the hell out of them because causing a serious drain of power. While Michael had taken three members, Specialist Lynch was left with three members of the ODA at the main Generators system. As Lynch he was the highest ranking Engineering specialist, Michael had seen fit to leave him in command at that end and as Michael was only aware of the basics of engineering he was lumbered with the basic work of repairing EPS conduits. Michael looked at the damage on the conduit and started to recall his basic engineering training, {what tool? Yes that is the question, but what is the answer?} Just as Michael was reliving some of his basic training the correct tool was placed under his nose. “Thank you private Sharp.” Michael said as he took the tool and put it to work. “No problem, sir. I would have looked like quite a fool had I not known what tool to pass to you.” Sharp said with a grin on his face. Michael halted the repairs for a moment, looked at sharp with a frown then got back to work and back to the conversation they were having. “Then what did he say?” Enquired Michael, as he continued the repair one of the isoliana chips. “Well he turned around and said, ‘you place that hand on me and I’ll brake it off’” Michael Smiled, “well if there is one thing I realised after the Holodeck training is you don’t mess with Captain Walsh” Michael looked at the Conduit, “how does that look to you sharp?” Michael moved out of the way and allowed the Private to move in front of him, after a short time of peering at it from every conceivable angle Sharp turned back. “Well sir, I don’t think you’re going to win any awards but it looks enough.” “That’s all we need, now you need to put it back in place and repair to other two.” “That’s one sir.” Sharp said correcting Michael, “Elision just repaired the other one” “Those Andorians are fast workers.” Michael and Richard Sharp lifted the part they had been working on back into the open assess point. Slotting it into place was a hard job for the day of them but after a minute it was back it place and more importantly fixed or at least to some degree.
