With nearly all hands diverted to installing and repairing vital components to replace to ones that the Warbird had destroyed, the ODA didn't have much of an oportunity to meet to meet with each other, they were acting more like an engineering support unit that a attack unit.... The inertial dampener problem he reported to engineering had been solved by installing the redundancy power node doing nothing in cargo container number 2-12. Despite this and other major repairs taken place around the ship it was unlikely that the Chimera would survive another encounter with the Romulans. The Mess hall itself was not in such a good condition, many of the tables were damaged along with a one of the replicators. Michael’s quarters were even worse, so bad that he had to share with Sergeant Elision. Had somebody told him two months ago that he would be sharing with an Andorian female, he would have jumped at the opportunity. But as the situation was two soldiers sharing quarters, it was very different than Michael would have imaged two months ago. As Michael Was about to clear away his plate the Mess hall light up with the red alert light. Michael’s legs gave way out of shock as he stood up. {We’re finished,} was the first thought that entered his mind as his ran over two of the tables heading out of the door to the mess hall only stopping to grab his MKIII and Grenades that he had with him since the first attack, almost a day ago.
