Well a much better week than last week. More and more people have returned too logging and I am sure Many more will return soon. Of not Both Shan, Athena and Rangi put out tremdous efforts in loggin 4 logs each! Congrats! Ok so now the plot moves forward. With one away team on the planet surface and another possibly heading to the asteriod fields, things will be happening in many places, so please read the logs carefully. If you are unsure what to log Check with your department head or the command team. This week we have a few resignations and a few new assignments. Both Gaalen and Mondana have resigned due to real life. We wish them the best. Now with that Or Nathan Acheson ( Ctac) has brought a new character on board and he will be assuming the CEO Position,LtJG Mathew Kirkland. NAthan will be leaving the ship. Medical: there's a LOT of casualities .... Others: try to describe how your working place look like after the battle, maybe your quarters ... who knows how the mess hall looks like ...! This week: Engineering: Continue to repair the ship- Remember those pesky Romulans are lurking about! :) MEdical: Continue to heal the crew Science: There is an asteroid field needing to be scanned and a mysterious signal to be discovered. Bridge Crew: run the ship, But keep an eye on that warbird. ODA: Training- Prepare for an away mission to the asteriod field. Away team-Planet: meet the new species ========================== ===================== Mission Summary (by Rangi) Shane found it difficult to get to sleep...but even harder to wake up, an achievment made possible only by him preprogramming the computer to sound a wakening alarm until he physically got out of bed to switch it off. He had spoken to Athena in his ready room earlier, eager to find out more about the 'feelings' she had experienced during the battle but she found it difficult to explain, saying that she wasnt even sure that that they had been facing Romulans.This statement turned Shanes thoughts to the possibility that the Tal Shiar had 'arranged' matters to put the Federation in a bad light from the Kzentis view point.He wondered too, how General Bretam would have reacted to the situation. Rangi sought out Athena and explained that she thought she now understood the reason for her distrust. Without explaining further, she told Athena that she hoped their friendship would survive. Athena reassured her and said that, given time, she saw it being the same. Rangi went to Deck 5 to see for herself the amount of damage sickbay had sustained.She found a team of engineers working on repairs.Varaan, the Vulcan officer in charge, assured her that all would be completed within three hours.Rangi was doubtful so much could be done in such a short time frame.Athena happened upon an engineer working alone on a difficult repair. Able to sense the tools he needed, she supplied them unasked. Oriana remained in the Physics lab as the shifts changed and was pleased when Martin Guzman arrived. They traded ideas as to who had been behind the attack on Chimera, though neither had evidence to support their thoughts.One of Orianas team suggested that 'all is sometimes not what it seems'.Oriana agreed and wished for Astrometrics and her equipment there. Shane returned to the Bridge and was pleased to see how much had been repaired.He asked for an update from engineering and learned that Chimera was well on the way to full efficiency.He called engineering himself to ask about the impulse engines and was surprised to learn that Idrani DCEO was in temporary sickbay.A course was set for Kzenti homeworld albeit at one quarter impulse.Shane summoned Athena and his brother Martin to the Bridge in preparation for the Diplomatic meeting ahead.As they approached the planet,Acheson revealed that a heavily damaged Warbird, with weapons charged,was a mere 30.000km away. Shane ordered Red Alert. Two Med technicians had arrived in Sickbay and helped Rangi to clear the ruined Lab.Varaan interrupted them to tell Rangi that sickbay was almost fully repaired.Rangi was amazed and thanked him.Back in the lab, the technicians asked to know the truth of the rumour that Romulans had attacked Chimera and were now cloaked nearby preparing to attack again. Rangi replied truthfully that she didnt know full details but reassured them that as Chimera was now en route for Kzenti homeworld, it was unlikely that another attack would resume.She had hardly finished this statement when Red Alert sounded. Athena had returned to her quarters and spent some time tidying the debris she found there before taking a sonic shower and changing to a fresh uniform.She answered the summons to the Bridge and was there when the Warbird appeared on screen, causing her to feel immediate tension from all those near her.Acheson established a connection and the main screen revealed an angry Romulan officer who immediately accused Chimera of attacking his ship, so placing a negative effect on Romulan Empire/ Federation relations for both of which Shane was to blame.Only Martin and Athenas calming presence prevented Shane adding fuel to the fire. With great restraint, he 'suggested' that it was the Romulans who had attacked Chimera.This statement did not go down well and the Romulan captain told Shane he saw through the Federations plan to remove the Romulans from any negotiations with the Kzenti.Altering his expression of anger to one of amusement he informed Shane that they would now 'finish' Chimera.Martin suggested sending logs of the attack to the warbird but Shane thought that a waste of time.Acheson then said that scans showed the Warbird was probably not the one that had attacked Chimera but the weapon residual signatures on the Warbird were of Federation origin.Shane was clearly astonished for Chimera was the only Federation ship in the sector. Michael McKnight was in the remains of the mess hall pondering on his fate of having to share quarters with an Andorian female when Red Alert sent him running for the exit and using his commbadge to order all ODA members to secure the ship and prepare to be boarded. Acheson now had the Warbird targeted with every available weapon trained on the ship. He secretly hoped the Romulans would give him cause to fire.He was annoyed when a young officer approached him and queried a fault with one of the torpedo tubes. He told the engineer there was a minute calibration problem in a successful effort to make him leave.Kirkland returned to engineering complaining of the 'ridiculous' request but was told he had been subject to a joke. Maikai checked her quarters and found that her dog Kaine had been injured.She rushed him to sickbay as red Alert sounded. Oriana returned to astrometrics and found an engineer, Cadet Argus, having considerable trouble with reconnecting power to the department.Oriana helped him to success but it was short lived and as Red Alert sounded, Oriana was able to make a connection to the Bridge and see the Romulan Warbird and the information that seemed to show a federation ship had attacked it.She told Argus she needed Astrometrics and sked if he could work faster. Rangi asked Scott the current status of the temporary sickbay. He gave the report and told her Lt.Idrani had been taken ill and was also there.She told him to transport himself Galaan and the three most seriously injured patients to main sickbay. Galaans illness was a mystery and they debated the best course of treatment until test results came through.Maikai carried her injured dog to temporary sickbay where it was treated with the Steves help. He also admonished Maikai for not seeking help with her own injury sooner, told her to rest and added that if she didnt both of them would be in trouble from the CMO. ========================== ===================== Quotable Quotes (by Athena) And The Answer is..... {Never ask a betazoid woman for advice.
