***Astrometrics * USS Chimera *** Rangi walked along the corridor towards Astrometrics. The ODA team were preparing to leave Chimera and as yet, there was no word from the Away Team on Kzenti, but Rangi took the opportunity to carry out Shanes request...a promotion for the Chief Science Officer. The door slid open and as she entered, one or two of Orianas team looked up at her. Oriana herself was talking to Petrel,obviously in a discussion of somekind for neither of them noticed Rangis arrival until she came to stand next to them. Oriana was surprised, what they found out in astrometrics. She stood with Petrel over one console and discussed with him: "Are you sure, Petrel?" "Yes, I am sure. Even if it sounds crazy." Oriana nodded deep in thought: "It sounds not crazy, only improbable. Thank you." She turned, when she heard the door open. It was doctor Summers,presently the AXO . It was a bit of a surprise, Oriana thought about the reason, which brought her there. Most likely she did not want to wait for the report and came there to hurry them. She moved to the AXO. "Ma'am, we have more interesting news for you. We found the asteroid, which is broadcasting and receiving data. The position is 25.4 to 84.2 to 62.5, size 5x2x3 kilometre, but the density is only 23.6. It can be a Kzenti research station, or anything else, we can`t find out precisely yet. Mr. Petrel found something about the datastream too, he ran it through the database and the computer found out the similarity with a .. brain wave. Oriana looked at the AXO waiting for her reaction, for she was doctor too. In this threat it can be plausible enough, what Lt. Foster suggested. It can be an alien scan and strange organic technology. Rangis expression was pleased and surprised at the same time. "That's excellent news lieutenant." she said looking from Oriana to Petrel. "An ODA team is leaving soon...please update them with the exact position." Petrel nodded and moved away to do as she requested. "Brain waves?" Rangi asked curiously: "You mean...like a beta wave?" Oriana nodded: "Yes, ma'am. It is very well-thought out. The leader wave is beta wave, which is not compatible with anything that we use, so the computers recorded it not." Oriana tapped the consol, bringing the relevant results which Rangi read. " I see...." she said after a moment,then, "...it's remarkable...30.8cps?....." The two women exchanged glances. Oriana continued: "I think, it`s very well-thought out and I would like to look into this technology.
