It was not her likely that she wouldnt respond to a call through the intercom. And even more, knowing Athena ... she might be very well involved in some trouble ... and she could be easily in danger. Martin saw the worries in his brother eyes but said nothing. There was little he could suggest now. Beeing on an diplomatic mission down here edged their abilities to serach for the counselor. They cant just go and search the palace, or ask the Chimera to send down reinforcements. Plainly said ... there were only Shane and him aviable. Shane looked at Martin and said: "Please watch out for anyone coming to close. I'll contact the ship" Seeing his brother noding, Shane turned with the back to the middle of the room and tapped his combadge: +TAPS+ Guzman to Chimera +TAPS+ Operations here, LT. Foster. +TAPS+ Lieutenant, secure the chanel please. After a small pause ... +TAPS+ Chanel secured Commander. +TAPS+ We cant find LT. Wellington, please do a scan for her from the orbit and tell me where she is. +TAPS+ Understood. A short while passed where Shane tired to make an impression that he's enjoying some funny looking gelatinous food from his plate. Then the quiet voice of the ship's AOPS reported: +TAPS+ Negative Commander. There is no trace of the counselor on the surface. But the sensors are still not at full eficiency and something seems to blur our readings from the planet. Maybe some metal ore in teh planet's crust or some device, I cant tell. Nor have i you and the Consul on the sensors. If it would not be your combadge sir, i couldnt tell where you are. +TAPS+ What about LT. Wellington's combadge? +TAPS+ I cant find it. There is no trace of it. Shane and Martin exchanged worried looks. +TAPS+ What about the emergency transporter beacons Captain Walsh gave us? +TAPS+ Scanning ... {Where the heck can Athena be?} Shane asked himself, {she cant just dissapear ... and when she's not on the planet ...} +TAPS+ I've located the counselor's bacon ... its ... on the Romulan ship! Shane's face formed a genuie expression of surprise. +TAPS+ What? On the Romulan ship? Are you sure Lieutenant? +TAPS+ Absoltely sure sir, i double checked it. After a moment of consideration Shane decided that he cant just leave Athena in romulan hands. Who know what those romulan pigs had in mind with her. +TAPS+ Beam the counselor directly to the sickay Lieutenant. Me and Martin the same. +TAPS+ Understood. A moment later the well known blue-ish haze enveloped both man and a second later they've materialised in the Chimera's sickbay. Rangi seemed not to be there and Shane's got some surprising looks from the sickbay staff which was quite a lot surprised about seeing the ACO materialising there. All lookes then focused on the blueish effect of the transporter that just materialised a body in the middle of the room. Shane made a step closer to the person expecting it to be Athena. For a moment he froze in surprise ... ... there was a romulan soldier materialised in the middle of teh sickbay! The situation would be comincal if it wouldnt be that serious. The romulan man stared at them like a sheep on a new door and the sickbay staff plus Martin and Shane at the romulaner like Santa Claus himself would appear there. "What the heck are you doing here !?" Shane cried at the unsuspecting Romulan man. From the distance he could hear someone calling the security coming to teh sickbay. The romulaner seemed not to be armed, but one could never know ... ===== Kzenti palace, chambres of the Kzenti secret service ===== "What's the status?" someone asked. "The feddies beamed back to the ship. I think there are enough clues there that they will think that the Romualns have their counselor" The other man noded: "I wonder if now the feddies will start a war.
