===== Sickbay, USS Chimera ===== The situation would be comical if it wouldnt be that serious. The romulan man stared at them like a sheep on a new door and the sickbay staff plus Martin and Shane at the Romulan soldier like Santa Claus himself would appear there. "What the heck are you doing here !?" Shane cried at the unsuspecting Romulan man. From the distance he could hear someone calling the security coming to the sickbay. The Romulan man seemed not to be armed, but one could never know. Shane took a step more in the direction of the romulan man and asked again: "Where is our counselor?" It seemed quite logical that this man would know that ... afterall was in possesion of Athena's emergency tranporter beacon. Shane was never outstanding in close combat bacj in his academy times, nor did he receive marine or security training. Since his first assigment he was always a bridge officer. Even if he took his combat training lessons regulary he could not mess with a field experienced veteran of many fights ... like the Romulan soldier that was not standing in front of him. Later, Shane could never exactly remeber what happened. In one moment there was a meter distance between the Romulan man and him and in the other, he felt his oponent's leg kicking him where a man can be hurt most. The next thing he saw was the floor where he was now lying and curling himself tight in the immense pain he was feeling. Martin was taken by surpise about the sudden attack of the Romulan soldier the same as his brother. Even less then Shane he was trained for combat. As an carrer diplomat he was not expected to fight someone barehand, but the few last year which he spend living as an freelancer taught him a lot. With a mighty punch he tried to knock his oponent down. The romulan soldier evaded his puch with ease with jumping to the side and with his own hand he hit Martin in the back part of his neck hard. With a chirping sound from his lips, Martin fell to the floor like a sack of boones. From his unpleasant position on the floor he's heard the afraid cries of the medical personal. Shane knew none of them could mess up with a comabat trained soldier like the Romulan was and he feared for their destiny. He tried to stand up but the pain was too great an an another kick in his stomach knocked him unconciously for a while. The last thing he's heard were two or three phaser shots. He wasnt sure who fired and only hoped that it were his man ... and not the romulan soldier. ===== Several minutes later ===== "How do you feel?" someone asked him. Shane tried to open his eyes and after some struggle he slowly managed it. First the sharp light blinded him and he could not recognize the person kneeling next to him but after a several seconds his sight improved enough for him to see his beloved Rangi next to him. "Like a box training sack" Shane replied slowly. Only then he remebered the last events and asked: "What happend? Where is the romulan?" and tried to stand up. "Dont Shane, please" said Rangi softly and placed a hand on his stomach. "You have been knocked of by a romulan soldier that was beamed over instead of the counselor" she replied, "at least thats what I've been told" She looked at him and continued: "He was about to flee from here when someone from the security shot him." "Is he dead?" Shane asked. A death was never a good thing and especialy a death of an officer from an potentially enemy ship nearby ... Rangi shook her head: "No, stunned. Althought it took at least three shots to stop him. The marines escorted him to the brig for the time beeing". "Good" Shane said and tried to stood up again. This time Rangi helped him and now the pain wasnt that great to prevent him to stand up. Sure, he have been better MANY times, but at least he could stood on his own feets. A glance over at a nearby Biobed revealed that Martin was alive the same. LtJg. Quiocho just treated him with some tool." He turned to Rangi when a call interrupted him: +TAPS+ Captain Acheson to Commander Summers. The romulan warbird is hailing us. Shane was sure that the call was related to the 'kidnaped' romulan man in their brig so he responded in the place of his AXO. +TAPS+ Guzman to Acheson. I'll take care of it. Computer, site to site transport of my person directly to the bridge. Authorisation Guzman alpha 11. ===== Bridge ====== Shane materialised near the middle of the bridge and as soon as his body was full there .... he turned to Acheson. "On screen Captain", and turned halfways to face the large main view screen. The angry siluete of the Romulan Commander apeared on the screen. "What are you thinking with kidnapping one of my crew directly from my ship?" he shoot his question like from a gun. "What are YOU thinking with kidnapping my counselor?"
