"Clever.." Mike whispered, nearly cursing. "Rebooting shields," he stated, hoping the Simpson would not fire while its own men were on board. "They are attempting to interface with our main computer to get internal sensor records." reported Mike, since they had been struck two minutes ago, someone had reported intruders, both ships had stopped firing and now the Simpson was interfacing with them. Mike lipped his licks. CEO versus CEO. The Simpson's Engineer was practically a ledgend, and now Mike faced him. "The Chimera never looses" he whipsered under his breath, "Let's just hope the ODA are as good as Keylor preaches" Mike said aloud. He began to type rapidly. The Simpson had created a direct communication, one which would be difficult for them to terminate if Mike could reach their computer. He began to lock down the Chimera's computer core and send two officers to go and physically close down the connection while he typed as fast as he could, reaching through their security systems, knowing he could win. He began to use a trick he had developed, he began to upload thousands of files to the Simpson's computer, useless files of random information, but it full up the connection quite well. Except among the random information there was a server file which would give Mike control. If this worked then he had just developed a system which would ruin the common tactical method of creating a direct connection. And it beeped. He had control. "Sir" he said, getting the attention of Lt Atcheson, "I have control of the Simpson's computer to a certain degree. Beginning to lock out their tactical systems." He said, typing as he went. His console beeped in confirmation of his action. The simpson had been reduced to a sitting duck, except this gave them read-only access to the Chimera. By taking control of the Simpson, Mike had given away the positions of the ODA units. As though on cue, his comm badge from an engineer reported they were ready to cut the connection. Mike entered his final command and then had the engineers cut the connection. He tapped his Comm Badge. "Lt Blackburn to all ODA officers. The Simpson officers have just taken an internal sensor sweep report from our computer. They know where you are, your positions are compromised. If you regroup, they will not know this, use it to your advantage. Mike out." Mike had no more to do and so he began to think through his new tactic, he had indeed disabled the Simpson, but if it was not a Starfleet Vessel, then they could have just downloaded the entire Starfleet Database.
