MaiKai came back from the Mess Hall from having lunch with Corporal
Pressman. She discussed with Stan the day dream she had and wondered why, out
of all moments, it had occurred then and how they should meet up and have more
conversation. While clearing her mind, Mai decided to do preparations for the
surgery back in Sickbay. She retrieved from a few cabinets laser scalpels,
hyposprays, the Biliverdin for the green tinge of the Romulan skin, and the
Ipechiline that would make the nausea from the Biliverdin lessen.
Mai set the items down on the counter that was locationed by two
convenient biobeds. Watching the two marines, Private Oakley and Private
Fleischer, MaiKai tried to grin as they approached her for reassurance on success when
this would all be done. Mai motioned them to lie down on the two biobeds.
She injected them with a hypospray that had a 'sedative like' medicine that
would allow them to sleep while she did her work. MaiKai put her hands together
as she cracked her knuckles.
She put her hands oh her chin and turned her head both directions to
pop any lose ends before starting. Though doing that might seem gross or
disturbing, Mai found the feel of her joints popping somewhat stimulating. With
her right hand, MaiKai reaches for a laser scalpel to begin the cuts into one of
the private's face, first, to start off the surgery. With every distinct cut
she inserted the Dermatiraeliene Plasticine that is a 'skin like' material
that would give the appearance of a Romulan.
She finished one marine's face and worked on the other's doing the
exact same. Mai did their arms and legs almost the same as their faces only with
less tension put on her because you have to make sure things are just right
and structured for the face, during surgery. Finishing up, Mai cleaned up her
work area and put everything away that she had gotten out and made sure the
blood was cleaned up and out of any material. When completely finished, MaiKai
wrote and read over padds while she waited, after hours of work, for her
patients to awake. She flinched a little as she saw Oakley and Fleischer stir on
the biobeds.
The two Privates took a look in the small mirror that was on the
counter; they couldn't believe what they saw ... was them. Mai gave a grin and
nodded as they both looked back at her. "Now I am going to inject you with
Biliverdin and Ipechiline and you'll be all finished," Mai announced to the two.
Then MaiKai rushed to get two bowls just in case the nausea got out of hand.
She returned to the Privates and saw that they each were turning a bit light
green.
Mai held out the bowls to the marines and gave a little disgusted look
and a little sideways quirk of her head. She turned away so she could finish
up paper work when she paused and heard the sound of the girls throwing up.
{Great ... just ... great} Mai shook her head and walked back to inject Oakley
and Fleischer with more Ipechiline to hopefully stop any more side effects of
the nausea and a hypospray for the following migraine, since the first
injection didn't seem to work.
"I'm deeply sorry about that, I hope you both start to feel better
soon. You better lie back down," MaiKai reassured them. She walked away and got
back to the dreadful paper work.
