===== CO's office, Secret Kzenti research station, Asteroid K-II, ===== "Dammed!" shouted a massively tech enhanced Kzenti. The other four Kzenti in the room looked for a corner where to hide. Papalasik Mlicnak wasnt a Kzenti who's anger outbreaks were to take easy. Mlicnak was a veteran soldier and as those, he disliked a bit the researchers that were the core crew of this research station. This station crew consisted to nine tenths from scientists and engineers, and only the rest ... not more then 20 man were real soldiers. Sure, even an scientist was far more faster and powerfull then the humble humans or romulans, but they were like kids when comparing to his security troopers. Mlicnak would never accept Command of an station full of 'weaklings', but this station was so important for teh upcoming war plans of the Kzenti military that he accepted this duty. Now he was cursing loudly ... 80 'weaklings' and only 20 troopers to face both intruder teams ... romulans and humans. Well, a bit less then casuality reports said about 3 Kzenti dead, 2 engineers and one trooper. Normally, nor humans or romulans would be an enemy worth of concerning, but this romulans showed some degree of wits ... they have managed to turn the internal sensors off line! According the initial reports, the Romulans used heavy distruptor weapons. The two engineers and one security post were highly outnumbered by 20+ Romulans. Even when they killed a good half of them the rest managed to turn main engineering to a waste place and kill the engineering crew. Then the romulans dissapeared without a trace. Yes, now it was quite easy to hide somewhere in the long maze like corridors of the large research station when the internal sensors were off line. The Engineering was retaken only minutes later ... but reports said about at least 10 hours till the sensor network will be online again. Now ... when the human team arrived as well ... and if they would show the same bit of wits like the romulans, Mlicnak's crew could be more seriously endangered then he ever thought as possible. They could maybe even enter the secured area where the Chameleon technology was tested and feeded with data coming from their scan beams. The area itself was connected with the rest of the station with a single long corridor what was heavily guarded. Robotic sentinels with movement sensors and 6 of his troopers guarded the entrance there. There was a ventilations shaft as well ... but that was guarded by a heavy phaser firing platform and two energy shield walls. Mlicnak hit the duranium table with his fist strong. A loud 'thumb' announced a large cavity to be created under the strong fist of the Station's CO. "Send out two Kzenti teams to search for those dammed intruders. One a trooper, one other ...
