Jack replied form the darkness. "The romulans sir. I think they beat us here." He replied. "How would you know that Petty Officer?" Jack replied as his foot steps slowly approached. Gary stepped to one side and pointed. "Because of that sir." He said revealing the dead body to Jack. "And look at the uniform. " Jack stepped in to the dim light and bent over to take a closer look. He wasn't too sure what to do with this little nugget of information, the very fact that the romulans had come here and failed spoke volumes in regards to their chances in an all out battle against the Kzenti. He half wondered if the Kzenti inviting the diplomatic delegations here wasn't some kind of test to gage just how difficult it was going to be to take these bastards out. His thought was interrupted however by the sound of more footsteps approaching. They grew ever rapidly towards them and halted at the door. Jack and Gary stood either side of the door. Gary took the lower ground whilst Jack stood tall. He heard the door opening and in walked some beast of a cyborg. It moved in hesitantly catching sight of one of the ODA members on the far side of the room. It must have been arrogance because Jack didn't hear him call for reinforcements as the guy darted over the other side of the room, grabbed the ODA member by the throat and began to squeeze. Immediately Gary and the other ODA members began firing into the Kzenti officer, the thick body armour seemed to soak up the fire. "Go for the head!!" Gary shouted as he let off a shot which struck the back of the soldiers head. Looking on Walsh saw the guys legs almost buckle, but not quite. Pulling a blade from the strap on his back Jack rushed over and thrust the knife into the back of the Kzenti soldiers head. Immediately purple juice spurted out of the cranium and an almost Smokey substance ruptured out of an implant on the guys body as it detached itself from the neck. The Kzenti slumped to the floor, snapping the ODA members neck with him. It was Corporal Hawkins. The two of them fell to the floor with Hawkins laying just next to the Kzenti. "Sir, He's dead." Perkins said with his finger on Hawkins neck. "You know what we have to do. Step back Perkins." Jack said as he took out his hand held phaser and set it up to maximum and fired it into Hawkins body. Immediately it disappeared and he turned to Williams. "I read in the psych profile on these guys that the communicate telepathically?" "Aye Sir." Williams nodded. "Well we gotta hightail it. If this bastard communicated spotting us then there could be a swarm of Soldiers heading our way. He looked around the room and spotted a ventilation duct. Grabbing the knife from the Kzenti soldiers head he wiped it off on his leg and pried the hatch open.
