Hello Chimera crew, your happy XO is doing teh report this time again. The last week was a slooooow one. We have a high count of excused crew and it looks like that RL is hitting the Chimera hard now. Considering of having only 6 active crew the last week ... its not the worst week we have ever had. Anyway for those who's RL allows it ... write and send out a log ... you will have the fun of writting and teh others in reading. Please join me and wellcome our newest crew member - PVC. Even if the last week was a slow one, we have seen some development in the plot. MCpt. Walsh's team on the Kzenti research station already had their first encounter with the Kzenti and it looks like that they have went a way to find out more about teh mysterious Chameleon technology. Try not to get killed Romulan ship away team: Find athena and stay safe if you can. Ship: keep a lock on the away team on the romulan ship. BE prepared for anything to happen. This week: Asteroid away team: engage the Kzenti and try to lear more about the Chameleon technology Romulan ship away team: Try to get out of the Warbird! Ship: Keen an sharp eye of events around teh ship. Be prepared for anything to happen. Especialy this Week! ======================================================================= Mission Summary (by Queen Rangi) Commander Guzman was expecting a trap, having reasoned that everything was happening too easily, but he couldnt ignore the fact that Athena was on the Warbird so led an away team there.He dropped two marines and added Kirkland and DrQuiocho to his team.They transported safely and soon located the counselors signal.Rangi performed a second surgery on Private Tearle, returning him to his natural self. On the asteroid,the ODA awayteam found that the walls of the Kzenti facility were extraordinarily strong and that the Romulans had fired disruptors there in the not too distant past.They discovered a Romulan body in a side room but were soon discovered themselves. Walsh and Williams managed to overpower and kill a Kzenti, but lost one of their team in the process. The Kzenti themselves were not too pleased to find the Romulans and then human teams more of a match than expected. Papalasik Mlincnak angrily ordered two Kzenti teams to search for the intruders and anihalate them. Back aboard Chimera, Shanes brother Martin, sought out Rangi and they discussed the current situation.He told her that diplomatic missions were often not what they seemed and suggested that it was possible that the Romulans and Kzenti might be working together. Later a surprised Ens Dexter reported that the Romulan Warbird had cloaked, so effectively trapping the away team on board. Mcknights team neared the engineering section of the research facility apparantly without being detected.He had no idea that Romulan disruptors were trained on them.As they attempted to gain access,a Kzenti guard approached.Amosenta was a victorious soldier and resented being sent to a research faciltiy but even so he was taken by surprise when a hidden marine suddenly appeared and attacked him with a knife.Though stabbed in the chest, Amosenta pulled the knife out and retaliated by throwing the marine metres away.He easily killed two more who rushed him but coming under constant fire began to weaken him.He was overcome at last when the Romulans emerged from their hiding places ======================================================================= Quotable Quotes (by Queen Rangi) Certain evidence? If you're still unsure how to interact with a character, then privately mail the person involved, and I'm sure they'll be willing to help. Conversely, if you feel that your character is being portrayed incorrectly by someone please contact them to try to work out an agreeable solution. Just keep in mind when logging to treat other characters the way you'd like them to treat you -- with the respect due to any member of Starfleet who is a specialist in their field. If you think your log may be going out of bounds, then please ask! If you are having problems finding things to write about or would just like some help with your log, please contact your department head or the command team.
