===/-\ Hallway /-\=== The fall from the shaft left cortez in pain. He had tried to use his hands to stop the fall but only succeeded in injuring his left arm. Once on the ground he noticed Petty Officer Williams didn't fare too well on the drop either and landed on his back, which was compounded by the fact that he had his rifle strapped their. The two men immediately rolled to either side of the hallway and covered the rest of the team as they jumped down from the shaft. Cortez readied his rifle and watched as Gary took a shot at the first cyborg who appeared from around the corner. The shot barely missed and the Kzenti stopped. "Maybe he's gonna give up", Cortez mumbled to himself as he flipped his rifle to its highest power setting and aimed down the hallway. "Maybe not", he griped again as he noticed the second Cyborg walk from around the corner. "Hold what you got!", Gary yelled as the team opened fire. The first Kzenti held back as if confused at what was happening while the second came charging full speed at the team. Cortez had little time to react before the Cyborg was upon him. He tried in vain to kick his way loose as the kzenti grabbed him by the neck while the rest of the team fired their weapons point blank. Then with little more than a flick of the wrist, the cyborg flung cortez down the hall and into the path of the other Kzenti who was now moving towards the fight. Cortez let out a grunt as he hit the wall and fell to the ground. The fall knocked the wind out of him and he lay their gasping for air as the Kzenti ignored him and continued walking towards the rest of the team. As the cyborg passed by, Cortez noticed that he had what looked like some open wiring protruding from the back of its right leg and immediately aimed his rifle at the weak spot. After a few direct hits in the open area the leg blew off and the Kzenti fell to the ground. What appeared to be a greyish milky substance began leeking out of the fallen cyborgs leg and he started pulling his way across the hall with his arms.
