The Sickbay was deadly quiet, with only the two of them to treat any emergencies that came up. They’d been sitting in Rangi’s office and discussing patients and procedures for the past hour while the red alert lights flashed in the background and the war games continued. “Who are they?” Mercedes asked, looking at the medpadd she held in her hand. “Walsh, Camden, Idrani… and of course, Foster,” Scott smiled. “I get dibs on him! I’m quite eager to examine him. From what I read on his medical file, he seems like a very intriguing guy. Didn’t you serve with him on the Archer?” Mercedes nodded. “We never really worked together, but I ran into him once or twice. He seems like a nice guy, although apparently he didn’t get along with Walsh, if I remember correctly.” “Do you think he’ll be trouble?” “No… I just think their personalities clashed. Walsh can have a bit of an attitude… but don’t tell him I said that!” Scott smiled. “Sounds like a typical ego clash.” “Probably,” Mercedes replied, sighing and placing the padd down on Rangi’s desk. “Don’t you think it’s kind of strange that there are three former Archer officers that have been reassigned to the Chimera. I don’t even know the reason why I was transferred.” Scott shrugged. “I try not to ask too many questions. The SSF can get very intimidating if you stick your nose into their business.” Mercedes nodded. “Well, I think I’m going to check up on the stock before I fall asleep. That way we won’t have to rush to get it done right before we leave.” “All right,” Scott replied. “I’m going to take a break.
