<<I know it’s not usual to do a log set over ten years ago, but It's important for my charcter.>> ===Stardate: 239408.23; Cardassia Prime, Kale'ra City==== The night sky over Kale’ra had opened and the heavens were unleashing their fury in the form of one of the most fantastic storms seen in over a decade. Ra’nar could feel the rain beating him further into the mud where he lay and the wind trying to pin him to the ground. The crash of thunder was enough to drown out the sound of the passing shots and occasionally Ra’nar could see the white flash of lighten impacting on the ground. Ra’nar was sure that the powerful storm along with the weapons fire was enough to make a religious person believe that the Apocalypse had arrived. Kale’ra was once a proud city, the home of arts and culture, home of the old Cardassian ways. It had magnificent architecture; all periods of buildings would stand together in a wonderful display of the past and present. But now the proud city was in dismay, the arts and culture gone and the architecture reduced to nothing more than rubble for resistance fighters to use as cover. Twenty days ago, Legate Toran broadcast a message to that the Cardassian Union had aligned it’s self with the Dominion. The message caused mass celebration in some areas of wealth and status but in most cities it produced hysteria. The ordinary Cardassian had not forgotten the millions that had been killed by the brutal Dominion’s attempt to eradicated the Cardassian population and they were not perpered to stand for it. Resistance groups re-emerged over night. Mass gatherings of people resisting historical poetry and reading the tale of Demar’s last hours fighting against the dominion oppressors, within hours these mass gatherings had turned into resistance groups who stole weapons and small ships to fight the Dominion and Toran’s leadership. But these groups were crushed as quickly as they emerged. Kale’re city along with a few others were the only place were the resistance still existed. Further up-risings had been quashed quickly, the right to movement and assosication had been withdrawn from the citizens. Any group larger than three was considered to be hostile and were executed on the spot. Ra’nar had joined his father and a few others on a raid on a re-supply docking base used by the dominion. The attack had been quick and successful, the Jem’hadar forces had expected nothing and the base was lightly defended. Charges were set and with minutes the base was an inferno but their escape plan had been a total failure. They had planned to use the underground access points to escape but they had been blocked off by high yield charges. The team of six had found them self trapped on the middle of a street and bombarded be Jem’hadar troops. Now all that was left was Ra’nar and his father, they had managed to use rubble remains of the museum as cover. Ra’nar looked at his father, his face was showing nothing put pure concentration as he looked down the sight of his rifle. Even the tremendous pressure from the wind and rain was not enough to move his concentration, looking at Ta’vek laying in the mud gently squeezing off shot after shot it would have been an easy mistake to think that he was a hardened solider, in fact he was merely an engineer by trade. Ta’vek stopped for a moment, glanced at his teenage son and gave him a quick smile to reassure him before turning back to the Jem’hadar troops at the end of the street. As Ta’vek continued to fire he was unaware of the twelve Cardassians approaching him from the rear. Ta’vek turned just as they where in touching distance, “Arr… The cavalry have arrived.” He said with a smile. The group got down beside Ta’vek and his son Ra’nar whilst firing their weapons. “You should show more gratitude Ta’vek, it was not easy getting through the lines.” Ta’vek squeezed off two more shots, “How did you get in Kamle?” Kamle smiled, “there is a company holding the west street, their commander is not too happy with Dominion rule.” A bigger man laying next to Kamle spoke up, “I am Evak. How many Troops are down there?” With a few more shots, “around ten too fifteen, with more trying to beam in, lucky the storm is interfering with the transporter.” Evak looked at his men, “Now we counter attack!” Under a hail of fire Ten Cardassians rose from cover of the position and charged the Jem’hadar troops located half a kilometre down the street with their weapons glowing from each shoot. Ta’vek was utterly dismayed as he watched the ten brave men cut down before they had got more than Five meters away. With there bodies still, Ta’vek looked at Evak pulled from his belt a knife and stuck it through his chest. Ta’vek turned to his friend Kamle, “take my son, he is concussed. I have seen enough death for today.” Slowly the two crawled towards the position that Kamle had emerged from with Ra,nar on Kamle’s back, the pair looking like a strange earth animal. ===End Log=== Ra’nar Aka Night, currently on leave (for the moment), The artist formerly known as Lt.
