After sneaking in to a fortress, he dispatches Owens Bertold but not before learning Bertold is part of a group called the Mo'tok. Bake in the chimera sickbay, Athena slowly recovers form the drugs used on her. Avoiding stripping don to her birthday suit, she starts to regain her composer and is soon released to her quarters for rest. Elsewhere in sickbay, Kirkland is placed back in a bio bed after threatening one of the medical staffs life. Mercedes carpenter tends to his injuries, a bar-b-q-ed arm. Mercedes regenerated the tissue and nerves, but has to place a motor assist band on Mathews are until he regains full use of it. Mai Kai regains conciousness and winces at the pain in her knee. She notices twom men obaerving her , which apparently makes her uncomfortable. Meanwhile Athena stumbles back to her quarters. On the way she bumps in to Phil Barns ( NPC). Phil checks up with Athena making sure she is alright. Athena reminisces a bit and accuses Phil of acting much like her old flame, Rob. After some chit chat, Phil excuses himself and Athena retires to her quarters. Later Rangi checks in on Athena, She and Athena talk and try to continue smoothing out the differences they had developed over soime mis-understandings about shane. Up in the captains ready room , Shane prepares a report about the mission. HE noted that ever since the chimera had reported the Kzenti technology, ships were being checked more carefully when entering the restricted space of the ssf. As he finishes his report he wonders why he had been summoned to the starbase operations at 9 am the next morning. In a bar on SB Bragg, Keylor bumps in to a new face. The two of them, both apparently marked by there respective endeavors, strike up a conversation. Samantha Palmer, a temporal mechanics specialist introduces herself but politely declines to talk about her latest mission. Keylor, keeping his rank concealed only introduces himself as Bretam Keylor. The next morning Shane meets Rangi in the halls of the chimera. After a warm greeting, Shane informs Rangi that he has arranged a whole week of together time on the base. Later as they depart the chimera, a little mis-communication has Shane worried he will become a father. On the base, the crew start to unwind. As old faces relax, new faces arrive for their assignments. Ens. Rick Rodgers arrives on SB Bragg and quickly reports to the ship. He thinks about how he was now home, though he had lived on several starships before and all of them were home. He quickly looks for the CEO. Keylro reports bright and early to a briefing he had been summoned to. HE finds the small and plain room with a captain form intelligence waiting for him. They are soon joined by Samantha Palmer and Keylor begins to suspect that the mission involves temporal mechanics of some kind.He did not have to wait long to find out the chimera had their next mission, a search and rescue/destoy mission of a federation ship captured by X'chi. That is in the Spinward marsh. Keylor is less than enthused because he get s the feeling that he is not being told everything. He asks Samantha why she is coming along as a mission specialist. Back on the ship, Maikai wakes up after having her knee overhauled by Steve. She decides it is time to leave sick bay amd heads to her quarters, only after gaining Steve's permission. She returns to her quarters where her pet dog, Kaine greats her with a slobbery toung and a warm hello. After indulging Kaine a bit she decides to work out on a punching bag. After a workout and a shower she s lais down for some rest with a big furry pillow (Kaine). PFC Richard Cortez eagerly finishes up paper work and briefings after the action the ship had encountered in the Kzenti system. After a change of cloths , he hastily makes his way off the ship. But he does not get far when he is summoned to the ODA office by Marine Captain Walsh. Changing back in to his uniform he reports to the ODA office. Back in the oda office, Jack wished the repair crew buzzing about were naked women ( just kidding Jack). Getting back to business, Jack reads over the re-assignment of 2LT Mcknight. Not wanting to make a big deal over loosing his second in charge, Jack appoints Petty officer first class Williams the second in command until fleet can find a replacement for Mcknight. Whit the shuffling, Jack decides to bump PFC Cortez up to Senior weapons specialist and promotes him to Lance Corporal ========================== Quotable Quotes ( by Rangi) == How long before the 'bubble' bursts.... He slowly examined the corridors as he walked, getting a feel for the ship. Even though he lived almost his enitre life on starships, this was different. He was a starfleet officer now. Rick could never get over that. He said it to himself over and over. Even though he had no doubts about making it to the academy and graduating, not that he was here, Rick still couldn't believe it. Shane was maybe a good starfleet officer, but in relations and especialy dealing with woman he was a 'greenhorn' so he havent noticed the tiny change in Rangi's mood. How are things going," Athena asked with mild curiosity as she sighed with pleasure. She leaned forward and picked another chocolate and placed it in her mouth. She squished the soft chocolate between the roof of her mouth and her tongue and felt joy as the carmel flavoring oozed onto her tastebuds. Lt Athena Wellington Counsellor == A rumour only......... Aye, Commander Guzman KNEW how to laugh. This was a feature the Bridge crew would never believe in. In the two years on board the Chimera, occasions when Shane was seen laughing in the public could be counted by fingers ... one one hand. Cmdr. Shane Guzman XO USS Chimera == A perfect symbiotic relationship..... But then Jack was just a Captain, he was a peon in a vast organisation of burocrats. They told him where to go and who to shoot and he did it. It was a sinful relationship between him and the Forces, he wasn't required to do too much thinking and they kept him around. Richard almost forgot to turn in the data PADD that he had found on the asteroid, accidentaly finding it when getting his clothes ready to be laundered. He wished he hadn't though because he was forced to fill out what seemed like a never ending barrage of reports on how he had found it and why he waited so long to turn it in.
