Hello Chimera folks, Again a week is behind us and from I have seen ... it was a good week ... by all accounts! The plot in on its end phase and there were several very nice logs posted moving it forward. Just sid behind your keybord and add your part ... or just enjoy, this week we are gonna wrap it up. Really nice work for those who logged. For those who didnt ... there's always room for a log or two from you as well ... ;)) With the end of the plot beeing so near ... I would like to receive from all dep. heads nominations for awards from their respective departments. We will discuss them within the Command team and judge everyone fairly. ::smiles:: let me wellcome an another new crewmember on board ... LT. Wrap the plot up! ::smiles:: ======================================================================= Mission Summary (by Queen Rangi) In Chimeras shuttle bay,Keylor and the rest of the two away teams each collected a rifle from LcplKilpatrick and a small cloaking device from LtQuayle.Nick explained to Keylor that he had made 'improvements' to the devices.Shane arrived wearing red armour, having reasoned that in the situation they faced, the teams would need to recognise immediately whom to take orders from.Keylor outlined the mission to each team. The XOs team was to disarm all torpedoes on the station, whilst his own team was to shut down the core.He insisted that noone take unnecessary risks and ordered them all to put on their suits.Maikai, acting as the medical backup for the teams, hoped she would have more to do than on her last away mission. Once aboard the shuttle La Rochelle, Shane observed his team and was satisfied that each member of it was well chosen.He outlined their orders, stressing that they all remain calm and silent. Lt Quayle aboard the Forrester, was eager to get to the station.He placed two of the cloaking devices aside to act as spares, for although he had modified them, he knew their reliability wasn't all he could have wished.He was idley thinking that on his return, he would make an appointment in sickbay for the removal of the Borg exoskeleton, when he was alerted to an incoming 'Priority One Personal message.He ordered it be transferred to his quarters, wondering what the message contained and where it had been sent from. Petrel took a break from Astrometrics and headed to the mess hall. There he found Athena and asked if he could talk to her. She agreed and sensing that he was 'wound up' put him at ease by asking about his work, a subject Petrel was pleased to talk about. Eventually Athena brought the subject to Oriana and Petrel reluctantly revealed that he found the ensign 'interesting' but was at a loss as to what to do about it.Athena suggested that he might ask the Vulcan woman about meditation techniques. Petrel thought this an excellent idea and said he would ask her at once. In sickbay, Rangi completed a medical check on one of the station scientists, Peter Heher.She explained that she had noted in his records, his adverse reaction to the sedative he had been given.He asked to know details and was embarrassed to think that he might have behaved improperly towards Rangi and Mercedes.Rangi reassured him that that hadnt been the case. On arrival at the station, the away teams split up to carry out their respective orders.Keylors team reached engineering section on schedule but found ten aliens there.He asked Lt Quayle about the possibility of setting up the portable power supplies. Nick agreed that this was possible and suggested three points to keep minimum power once the core was shut down. Keylor ordered the team to rendezvous in main engineering, where a distraction would enable nick to complete his mission. Once Petrel had left the mess hall. Athena relaxed in her chair, playing with a glass.This time, Rangi and her marine escort, noticed her there.Athena, who had begun practising her new powers, lost concentration and 'dropped' the glass when the marine spoke.Rangi told Athena she had foolishly listened to rumours. Athena seemed to sense what Rangi had thought and made light of it, suggesting that they might treat themselves to the promised chocolate sundaes.The counselor took delight in tormenting the waiting escorts, finally ordering them, as a senior officer, to eat the delicious chocolate.Once the marines were distracted, she pulled rangi out of the messhall as a final 'tease' to the escorts. Shanes team were heading for the torpedo storage room, having been reminded of the need for stealth.It was therefore unfortunate that Shane himself was the cause of a disturbance when he fell flat to the floor.His two female 'bodyguards' were quick to assist him.The small team started off again only to have a replay, when the XO fell again.Thoroughly annoyed at his own action, he ignored Maikai s presence and ordered Ens Sinclair to lead the way.After a short distance the Ens. signalled them to halt and the silence was broken by a rifle blast ....Shanes rifle :) Everyone hit the floor...including Shane who was flattened by Pvt Pillow.For the third time, the team began to move. Pvt Huhu pointed out that the XOs cloaking device was broken, just as Lt Acheson announced the danger of four approaching aliens.Shane ordered Sinclair and Huhu to stay together, hoping that their combined 'cloak' would hide him too.The Aliens drew level with the group...paused...and moved on.The away! team was safe...for the moment.... ... ..... ======================================================================= Quotable Quotes (by Mrs. President Jass) Wow, did you see that? "Oh goody I get to put the helmet on," he said as everybody turned around and looked at him like he had grown a second head. He assumed he hadnt as the one helmet seemed to sufficiently cover him as he attached it and engaged the pressure seal. Lt. Nick "two heads are better than one" Quayle Ready, set, Go!!!!!! She walked up to Kilpatrick and received her phaser. (( Hmmm.. I get to be a lady in uniform.. Who's armed! )) Mai joked to herself. She then walked over to Quayle and got this cylinder thingy-ma-bobber. (( Yeah and this dinky thing is supposed to make me invisible to aliens?.. Well, ok then)) she thought to her self sarcastically. Cadet MaiKai "Fashion police" Quiocho Where oh Where has Our Counselor Gone? Fortunately no one had been standing around her. Her escort jumped at the loud noise and pulled his weapon. He rapidly replaced it when he saw what was going on and was thankful he looked first instead of shooting first. He wondered what kind of leave he would get for accidentally shooting the counselor. If the counselor is Found miss contact Corporal Billy Bob Hillvic (now has a last name) Twinkle, Twinkle After all ... he was the XO and not a ... ::tresk:: and Shane saw yellow stars dancing lambada in front of his eyes again. Unbelievable ... he fell again! LtCmdr. Shane "Twinkle Toes" Guzman Our XO a stud? He gathered all his remaining honor and shook down both ladies' arms while saying: "I am all right, I am all right. Jeezes ... I am all right, take your hands off me!" LtCmdr. Shane "Like he really means it" Guzman Obsessions or Pleasures? she noticed the look on his face when he pretty much had two marine 'body guards' , that had happen to be female, all over him trying to help him as much as possible. Sinclair was getting the feeling something was going on between the women, but he could not pin down exactly what. He had observed how women could communicate with the subtlest of gestures, barely detectable by most men. He had always thought that if someone could decipher their way of communicating, they could have an unbreakable code, one the binars could not even decrypt. Ens.
