-=/\=- MaiKai's Quarters -=/\=- Mai's schedule had been switched as of late from her working in the morning to 'the night shift'. Many people, more from engineering then ever, have coming in with plasma burns and some special cases of surgery. MaiKai now laid in her bed very comfortably and relaxed after her shift. She was dreaming of her home on Earth. In Hawaii there's many nice sunny beaches and a lovely ocean all around the Island she lived on. Mai was sitting on the beach minding her own business. She watched for people surfing the waves. MaiKai loved to surf there was nothing, besides sleeping, she thought she was any better at then anyone else. The dream was going wonderful. All of a sudden, the street, by the beach, got busier and the sky grew dark and stormy. MaiKai looked all around, but the only thing she could actually see was a man. He strolled up to her side all casual like. Then he reached in his jean pocket and pulled out a sharp knife. The three inch blade coming towards Mai's gut as she jumped and awoke from her dream. In a sweat Mai breathed heavily and awaited for anything to appear around one of the corners of her room. Quiocho always had nightmares or perfectly well dreams gone wrong ever since she was about four years old. She walked over to the replicator and ordered a chilled ice water in a glass. MaiKai was now wide awake and just in time for lunch after being startled. God, did she sleep a long time! Mai walked into her bathroom, as she finally missed tripping over her furniture, and changed out of her short shorts and tank top and slipped quickly away for a quick shower. Her shower took longer then what she thought, in fact, now it was way too late to have lunch. Mai didn't care this was becoming a regular routine for her. She would just have some dinner before she headed for Sickbay or something. MaiKai brushed out her shiny black hair as she sat at the edge of her bed in just her towel. Then she stood up and let the towel fall to the floor while she strolled over to her closet for another uniform for work. Kaine, her huge dog, was now awake. He was showing he makes the bed for her while Quiocho was in the shower. The poor dog also picked up her towel and added it to the dirty laundry then laid back down at the foot of the bed. Mai came back out and played with Kaine in a game for her socks, which was always fun. MaiKai turned and headed out the door for Sickbay after getting completely ready for work and grabbing a little something to eat from the replicator. She took up so much time for everything she was going to be late. -=/\=- Sickbay -=/\=- Mai half jogged into Sickbay. Noticing other AMOs she stumbled a bit to get to a normal state of walking before she would start to fall from clumsiness. She really didn't want to be late or feel late. MaiKai waved at other AMOs, Nurse Flemming, and Scott while she scanned the room for Nurse Robinson. MaiKai has been working with her lately and she thought to keep the routine up and find Nurse Robinson so she could begin 'the good stuff.' MaiKai found Nurse Robinson over by some grouped biobeds and decided to lend a hand. Nurse Robinson smiled and handed Mai a few padds. "More plasma burns, every degree pretty much, guy over there sprained wrist, and another over there with a distilled vertebrae, I think," Robinson informed Quiocho before she walked a little ways away to begin the night. Mai leaned over, for a minute, and touched her left knee. She rotated her knee cap back and forth a little before walking over to the biobed that had the guy with the back problem. He was awake ... good. "Hello Mister ... Shoust. What seems to be the problem?" MaiKai said to the man lying on the biobed not really moving so much. "Hey Baby. Ah, after what you did last night it kept me flat on my back and now, I hurt cause you just left me there," the man said as he wiggled his eyebrows up at Mai. MaiKai shook her head and turned in Nurse Robinson direction, "You got to be kidding me ... I have to work under 'these' conditions?!" Nurse Robinson chuckled at Mai's comment and joined her over by Mr. Shoust. MaiKai pulled out her tricorder and scanned for anything that would pop up about a slipped disk or a distilled vertebrae. "Ok Robinson I say we give him a hypospray for the pain then put an Osteotractor on his lower back for support and treat it as a cracked or broken bone until I have the patience to look at my tricorder more closely." Mai nodded towards Robinson as she smiled because obviously Robinson wasn't sure what to do. MaiKai was thinking {I'll look more closely when I have the patience to deal with an asshole like that}. Mr. Shoust put his hand on MaiKai's upper thigh before she could go to the next patient , "Come on baby." As a reaction MaiKai had her right arm up in the air and made her arm look like a karate chop with a balled up fist and then as hard as she could, Mai dropped her arm over Shoust's chest. The man groaned from Mai's reaction. "Also Robinson if this isn't a perv I believe I traced alcohol on Mr. Shoust with the tricorder so be careful which antibiotic you put in that hypospray please," MaiKai pleasantly walked across the room to get a drink of water before her next victim. -=/\=- End Log -=/\=- LtJg.
