==/-\== ODA AREA ==/-\== Richard had spent the last four hours sitting at a small computer console in the ODA area. On the screen were the schematics of a Nova class ship. He had been studying each assault teams mission plans and objectives including deck layouts. He had even managed to memorize the lengths of each hallway and worked it down to how many steps it would take for each team to reach there objectives, given that there was no resistance. The Xchi were a different story, in all of the simulations that he had ran in the holodeck the teams phaser fire just seemed to bounce off the bugs natural body armour. The only real effective means of hurting these bugs that he had found was to consolidate the phaser fire of four or five men onto one bug or use explosives. Neither option seemed to be ideal. Wasting an entire team trying to take one bug down was not a good idea since there were bound to be hundreds of them on board. Explosives were a no-go also, they had no clue as to the structural integrity of the ships hull and one misplaced grenade might not only kill the Xchi, but but all the ODA also. Not to mention that they would be trying to take vital parts of the ship back, main engineering wouldn't be much use if it was destroyed. Nope, there has to be a better way. "Whats your weakness", Cortez whispered to himself, rubbing his eyes. "There is always a weakness", he said recalling Drill Instructor Maldonado from his time spent in the Quantico System. "The smart Marine will find his enemy's weakness and use it against him", Maldonado would always say. Cortez then opened his eyes and decided to head over to the science labs. If anybody had any ideas on the best way to kill some bugs, it would have an SF scientist. Hopefully. ===/-\== End Log ==/-\=== (OOC anybody from science want to do a JL with me?
