"Once more in to the breach" == Bridge== "General, I'm reading an incoming shockwave! Impact in 20 seconds." Keylor heard Samantha report. Out of instinct Keylor Grabbed the science console to prepare for the feet unsettling event. "All hands, brace for impact! Helm, evasive maneuvers!" He heard Shane call out. The ship rocked and rolled as the turbulence form the massive anomalies could not be negated by the ships inertial dampers. After a few seconds of violent shaking, Keylor fell to one knee, with a death grip on the console. "Report!" He barked out. "Temporal shields at 44% and rising, deflector output at 67%, I'm reading some buckling on the starboard nacelle pylon. Damage reports coming in from decks 7, 8 and 9, along with main power outages on those decks." He heard Foster report back. {Some good those modifications did us.} he thought as he returned to his feet. Moving back to the command chair he was about to ask for a sensor scan when Samantha piped in. "General, I'm reading a large gravity well dead ahead, it seems to be interfering with our sensors." Keylor frowned and looked at Shane. With out saying a word, Keylor tried to communicate {And we wasted two weeks of modifications for what?} but said nothing. Keylor stood up straight and tugged on his tunic and started to open his mouth whin the proximity alarm chimed in. "What the.." he muttered under his breath. Turning to Foster he commanded, "What is that damn proximity alarm for?" Hearing a curse form the helm, Keylor turned back and saw the distorted outline of a starship on the viewscreen. When Shane spoke out Keylor simply nodded his head. "I think we found the USS Gott, sir." Keylor mustered, "Apparently." He said in a some what sarcastic tone. He watched as Harker started to maneuver the ship to avoid a collision. "Full Stop!" Keylor ordered. "Aye cam Harkers reply. As the turbulence of the anomalies buffeted the ship, Keylor sat down in the command chair and looked at the viewscreen. "Some one clean up that picture." He ordered. He saw Shane motion to Foster and looked over to see Andersen nod in compliance. "Tactical! Have they reacted to our presence?" Keylor asked Ens Dexter. Though Keylor did not look back, he could hear the subtle tapping of fingers on controls behind him. "No sir it does not appear so. They are stationary. I don't detect any weapons powering up, but their shields do appear to be raised, though I am getting some strange readings from tactical sensors." Dexter replied. Keylor looked over to Shane, "Strange readings?" he asked. Shane quickly moved back to the tactical console, Keylor followed him with his eyes. In a matter fo seconds Sahne was looking over Dexters shoulder. Shane frowned a bit and reached in to tap on a control or two. He then looked back to Keylor. "Readings are inconsistent General. Probably the large anomalies around us are throwing off sensors readings." He responded. Keylor looked back to the viewscreen. The images began to clear. "That is the best I can do Sir." Andersen called out. Keylor studied the screen carefully. He could now make out the port nacess and the engineering section. "What is the Magnification?" he asked aloud. "There is none sir. We appear to be right on top of them." Andersen replied. Keylor frowned. "Helm, can you back us off a bit?" he asked Harker. Samantha then chimed in "Sir I would advise against that. There is very little room to maneuver here and we should probably stay in the middle of all of these anomalies to let their gravitational waves cancel each other out as much as possible." Keylor stood up. "hrmmm." he hummed and frowned. Looking back to Andersen , "Lieutenant. Evacuate the sections where the damage is. With the weakened shielding, and weakened hull I don't want any accidents to happen. We can repair those sections as time permits. Then contact the Major and tell him to get the shuttles loaded and ready for departure. I don't want to stay here any longer than we need too." He said with a sour look. Andersen nodded, "Aye sir." Keylor then turned to Shane. "Well Commander I guess this means you have the.." He trailed off his words as the constant shutter of the ship erupted in a more violent rattle. Still looking at Shane he could she Shane's expression change and his eyes squint, "what is that?" Shane asked quietly. Keylor turned around and looked at the viewscreen. Though the picture was still distorted the colors were noticeably changing. The reddish, pinkish milky background of the anomalies normally contrasted with the Nova class ship well, Something on the far side of the Gott was changing and the ship started to disappear in to a more murky color of deep blue. Intrigued at the change of scenery Keylor called out, "Commander Palmer? Care to explain?" Keylor heard nothing for a moment then she chimed in form the science station. "I cant be certain sir. The interference form the anomalies around us and out position relative to the Gott is not allowing me to identify the change. However I am reading a noticeable increase in chronometric particles, elevated nutrenos and an increase, though slight , in gravimetric readings. I would say that the Gott has been placed right in front of an extremely unstable temporal anomaly." {Great, just what we need. A mission right between Scylla and Charybdis, ship full of angry insects and scylla's mother in law has come a calling.} He though using the earth Greek metaphors in his mind. Sighing a bit he then turned back to Shane. "Well we can't sit here staring at this thing all day. The sooner we get going the sooner we can get it over with and get out of here." Shane nodded, "Aye sir." Keylor pointed to the screen. "See what Commander Palmer and Science can get on that anomaly. It might be interesting to those science types. Also keep a close eye on that ship, any reading you can get that will let us know if they detect us coming would be helpful." He said plainly. "Aye sir will do." Shane replied. Keylor then turned back to Andersen, "lieutenant I believe we have shuttles to fly. Once you are done there, Meet me in the shuttle bay." He said bluntly. Andersen nodded. Keylor then turned to the lift doors. Looking back at Shane he smiled, "Lets hope nothing else goes wrong and we can leave here quickly." Shane looked less than enthused and only nodded. Brushing away his own fears, Keylro turned and headed to his quarters to prepare for the away mission. ==End log=== Bgen Bretam Keylor Captain USS Chiemra
