Dont hesistae and enjoy!>> ===== Bridge, USS Chimera ===== First Athena and Shane following ... the two officers entered the bridge again. The conversation between them two was more then interesting and as always Shane was in certain aspects even more confused the before. Commander Palmer, who was siting in the Command chair rised from the seat and prepared herself to leave for her own place, but Shane raised his hand and stoped her: "No, Commander, I have to go down to Engineering, the bridge is yours for a while longer." he said. Athena choosed to stay on the bridge for a little while, so Shane entered the turbo lift alone. Now that the away team left the ship and the mision was focused on the Gott there was time to go down to Engineering and have a talk with the DCEO about teh status of the Chimera. Shane was no fool ... he did understand the DCEO's concern about the efficiency readings of Chimera's systems. He did knew that 100% was impossible ... not even a Cuck-cuck clock reached 100% efficiency. But what seemed the DCEO to forget was the point that the solely reason why the Chimera was in this dammed march was the mission. Lives were at stake ... lives of the crew of the Gott, lives of the crew on the Chimera and maybe ... knowing SSF ... the lives of half of the federations citizens as well. ===== Deck 11 ===== Stepping out of the lift he almost bumped into a bajoran officer weaing a teal on his uniform ... Shane knew he knew he his name, but could not recall it quickly. It was one of Oriana's assistants. "I am sorry Ensign" Shane said in apology, I am in a hurry and didnt see you. Terek noded and smiled a bit. "No harm done sir". Noding to Terek, Shane continued on his way towards main engineering. He was just several meters away from the entry door into Mctaggert's realm when he froze in astonishment in what he just withnessed. The door into Main Engineering were wide open and McTaggert was frowning at some tall officer glad in command red. He heard McTaggert's half angry words: "With all respect Commander!" The man turned around like something would disturb him and Shane looked into his own face! Shane blinked at last and then the vision was gone. There he stood, in an empty corridor, just several meters away from a closed entry door into main engineering. He stood there for a moment more, but then he shook his head in disbelief and went on: {Jesus ... I am having a fatamorgana ... and I AM sleeping long enough lately ...} he thought. The Door to Main Engineering opened slowly and Shane faced the angry face of the ship's DCEO LT. McTaggert. He seemed to be disturned by something and like he would be glad that there was finally someone he could release his temper on .... McTaggert immediately started: "With all respect Commander! ..." In that moment Shane caughed something disturbing form the corner of his eyes and turned sharply around. For a fragment of a second he saw himself several meters away in the corridor staring at him. Shane blinked and the image vanished. There was an empty corridor again. Shane looked at McTaggert and back at the empty corridor again. "Erm ... is something wrong Commander?" McTaggert asked with a strange tone in his voice. Who knows what he thought seeing the Officer in charge staring at an empty place in the corridor. ===== End of log ===== Cmdr.
